A few words regarding the wonderful job you both did in selling 5 Edwin Street, Drummoyne.

When we decided to sell our first family home in Drummoyne after 14 years, we did all the due diligence a vendor should do. We met with several real estate agents, prepared the house for sale and had a good understanding of current market performance and how that married with our expectations / property. We just needed to find the right agent. 

From our first meeting with Ward Partners it was clear they were the stand out agency. Claire and Matthew presented a cleverly devised sales and marketing strategy that aligned well with our property and the target market. They were competitively priced and professional in all aspects of our dealings. They were willing to negotiate. However, the most persuasive factor in choosing Ward Partners was the honesty and integrity that Claire and Matthew bring to the table. There is no doubt they are experts in the business of real estate but what makes Ward Partners exceptional is the honesty and integrity with which they do business. Rarely found in this industry. 

They provided excellent advice on how to best present the home and went to great lengths to ensure the photography and marketing was second to none. The inner west is a highly competitive marketplace and I really felt that our property stood out, even the signboard was beautiful and set a tone that we were a premium product to the street and the buyers coming through the door.

We were updated daily on the progress of buyers throughout the campaign and always had full confidence that their recommendations were in our best interest. The results speak for themselves - our home was sold prior to auction (actually within 6 days of our first open house) and at a price above our expectations. 

The entire sales process from first open home to settlement was smooth and stress free. Without hesitation we would recommend Claire and Matthew Ward from Ward Partners to anyone thinking of selling their property - they simply are the best in the market.

I should like to place on record the extent of my esteem for Ward Partners and particularly for Claire and Matthew Ward.

In early October, 2014, I made a decision to place my home of 40 years on the market that Spring and, without any warning, asked Ward Partners to be my agents and work out a marketing plan for this to happen.  I had previously interviewed all the major estate agents working in Hunters Hill and worked out, by a process of elimination, which one was best suited to me and my situation.   Some of the factors that prompted my decision were:

Competency in and knowledge of the local market by the agents concerned

Trust in honesty of evaluation of property and honesty in all matters

Experience of the agents and their ability to judge contenders’ intentions and resources, as well as being able to negotiate with them on my behalf

Confidence in the ability of the agents to achieve the price I wanted for my property

Ease of communication between agents and me

Willingness and ability of agents to assist me in securing the tradespeople I needed to get the house to the standard I required before it went to market

Knowledge that the back-up team supported and worked as one with their principals

Recommendation to the agency by trusted friends who had used them recently

As it happened Matthew and Claire Ward, met the highest standards one could possibly hope for in all of the above criteria and more.  Although I had only allowed a little over three weeks to get my house ready, I had their full and utter co-operation in achieving this.  Magically, builders, electricians and other tradespersons I had been unable to secure before were now on site and completing those tasks that needed to be done.  (It helped that my own painters who had been engaged to paint the house in November were able to alter their schedule to do it in October.)  Claire and Matthew were in constant contact to ensure that everything was being done and to offer more help and suggestions should they be needed.  I felt that I had engaged a team of carers whose total job was to ensure that my every need was met!  (Most important, as I am widowed and had no one else to rely on.)  In the end, it was my own painters who needed three more days to complete their work, so it took 4 weeks only from decision to market.

Once the Opens for Inspection began, all was ease and fun for me and the Ward team did their job perfectly, keeping me up-to-date on the house viewers and any likely prospects and providing details of the situation on a weekly basis, as well as filling me in with regular discussions.  When it came to an offer to buy, the negotiations were handled perfectly and I achieved a price way beyond what other agents had proposed (hundreds of thousands, in fact) and within a few thousands of my “dream price”.  This was prior to auction, so I was saved from that gruelling experience.  Since then the Wards have kept in touch to make sure I am managing the packing and leaving phase.  Their approach has always been friendly, helpful and accommodating and our communication so good that I feel I have made life-time friends.

I am totally happy with the whole process of selling my house and propose, with total confidence, that anyone considering the same should place their trust and their business with Ward Partners.

Dear Claire,

I couldn’t let the year wrap up without getting this letter to you.

In relation to selling our beloved apartment in Tranmere Street earlier in the year we just wanted to say Thank You!

Having sold two apartments in our block already and knowing we were thinking about a move you suggested it may be possible to sell our place for a great price with little to no fuss.

Given how busy we both are we were really temped by this idea however… only at a certain price. You understood what number it would take to move us and given your experience and existing relationships with the buyers in the market you were able to achieve it after just one inspection. It was literally that easy!

I  would have no hesitation in recommending you to prospective clients, your approach with buyers and sellers alike is straight forward, passionate and knowledgeable and we really enjoyed our experience with you.

While we didn’t have to spend any money on marketing, awesome, we have always thought your brand stands out locally in comparison to that of your competitors.

I know the new owners are happy there, we do miss Drummoyne however we also enjoying the beach!
